Third seed Katie O'Brien was defeated in the final of the Aegon Pro-Series tournament in Woking by Timea Babos of Hungary.

The unseeded seventeen year old, who trains at the Gosling High Performance Tennis Centre in Welwyn Garden City, won in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4.

O'Brien, the British number two, is ranked 241 places above today's opponent at number 138, but it was Babos who took the victory. The Hungarian has now won two ITF Singles titles this year, and four in total.

O'Brien will now travel to France, where she will be competing in the 25,000 dollar tournament at Les Contamines-Montjoie next week.

In the final of the Doubles event, Singles champion Babos teamed up with Emma Laine (Finland) to lift the title. Babos and Laine defeated the third seeds, Jocelyn Rae (Great Britain) and Emelyn Starr (Australia) in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.
