Baltacha bows out to Radwanska

British number one Elena Baltacha lost her first round match against the eighth seed, Agnieszka Radwanska, at the French Open on Monday.
Baltacha, 26, from Ipswich, lost in straight sets, 6-0, 7-5, in one hour, 26 minutes. Radwanska, from Poland, will now face world number 36 Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakhstan in the second round.
Baltacha will now turn her attention to the Doubles, where she is partnering Liga Dekmeijere of Latvia. Baltacha and Dekmeijere will play Dinara Safina (Russia) and Agnes Szavay (Hungary) in the first round.
