Keothavong into Torhout semifinals

Anne Keothavong booked a place in the semifinals of the 50,000 dollar ITF tournament in Torhout, Belgium, with victory over Valerie Tetreault of Canada.
Keothavong, seeded sixth, beat Tetreault, the third seed, in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. The British number three will now face another Canadian, Rebecca Marino in the semifinals.
In her quarter-final match, Marino defeated Britain's Anna Smith in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2. Smith, who qualified for the hard court event, reached the final of the 25,000 dollar Jersey International tournament at the end of March, losing to Sweden's Johanna Larsson in the final.
Top seed Katie O'Brien suffered defeat to eighteen year old Bojana Jovanovski of Serbia in her quarter-final match. O'Brien lost in straight sets to the eighth seed, 6-3, 6-0.
