Andy Murray came back from two sets down to defeat home favourite Richard Gasquet in the first round of the French Open.
Murray, the fourth seed, lost the opening set by six games to four. He then went further behind, losing the second on a tie-break, by seven points to five. However, the British number one rallied, winning the remaining three sets to take the victory, 4-6, 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-2, 6-1.
Gasquet is currently ranked 41 places below Murray at number 45, but the Frenchman is a former world number seven, and Wimbledon semifinalist.
Murray will now face Juan Ignacio Chela of Argentina in round two on Wednesday.
