Robson bows out to Gallovits

Laura Robson lost her semifinal match at the 50,000 dollar ITF clay-court tournament in Dothan, Alabama on Saturday. The sixteen year old from London, who qualified for the event, was defeated by Edina Gallovits of Romania in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2.
Gallovits is currently ranked 196 places above Robson at 119, and has been ranked as high as number 54, in April, 2008. The Romanian will now face Anastasia Yakimova of Belarus in Sunday's final. Yakimova defeated American Abigail Spears, 6-3, 6-4, in her semifinal match.
Robson will now move on to another 50,000 dollar ITF tournament in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she will be attempting to qualify for the clay-court event.
