The Aegon International hosts both a women's WTA Premier tournament and a men's ATP 250 event this week.
In the women's competition, world number three Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark is the top seed. Newly crowned French Open champion, Francesca Schiavone is seeded second.
Three British players are also in the draw. Elena Baltacha and Anne Keothavong have been given wild cards for the grass court event, whilst Heather Watson has qualified.
Baltacha will face the seventh seed, and winner of the Aegon Classic in Birmingham last week, Na Li of China. British number three Keothavong will be up against Slovakian Daniela Hantuchova, and Heather Watson will play fellow qualifier, Aleksandra Wozniak of Canada.
In the men's tournament, Jamie Baker and James Ward have been granted wild cards into the main draw. Baker will face the seventh seed, Alexandr Dolgopolov of the Ukraine, and Ward will play second seed Feliciano Lopez of Spain.
World number 18, Nicolas Almagro (Spain) is the top seed in the competition.
