Wimbledon 2010 begins this week at The All England Club.
In the Ladies' Singles, defending champion Serena Williams is the top seed. Amongst the British players, world number 52 Elena Baltacha has gained direct entry into the draw, whilst Katie O'Brien, Anne Keothavong, Melanie South, Laura Robson and Heather Watson have received wild cards.
Katie O'Brien and Laura Robson will both be up against seeded opponents in their first round matches. British number two O'Brien will face the 28th seed Alona Bondarenko of the Ukraine, and Robson will play the fourth seed Jelena Jankovic in front of the Centre Court crowd.
In the Gentleman's Singles, defending champion Roger Federer is the top seed. British number one Andy Murray is the fourth seed in the draw. His first round opponent will be world number 90, Jan Hajek of the Czech Republic.
This year, only one wild card has been handed to a British male player, Jamie Baker. Baker will face German Andreas Beck in round one.
